Building & Home Automation Systems
The Advanosys Security and Automation Technology (ASAT) team along with its partners have assembled several major manufacturers to provide the full or partial benefits of the building automation systems platform, sometimes referred to as BMS “Building Management Systems.” These systems are critical for the monitoring and control of power consumption and interlink and monitoring/control of all major mechanical electrical and communication platforms.
Utilizing the various open protocols of BACNET, we offer these complete systems and/or an interface with existing platforms to our other provided services including security management/access control, intrusion detection and video management platforms for a seamless security management and automation system to allow direct monitoring and control of all facility systems. For example, a standalone office building may have a baseline BMS platform in place related to performance and efficiency for the HVAC and comfort temperature controls as well as monitoring of critical pumps, water delivery, etc. Whereas a major tenant in the facility may not have the benefit of any of the monitoring or status of the base building’s mechanical systems. The leased space may house critical areas such as LAN rooms, specialty storage areas, laboratories and computer lab areas that would greatly benefit with a heightened level of control and monitoring of all systems. With our bolt on technology, we can facilitate the monitoring of existing HVAC delivery, performance, air quality, temperature and humidity status, detection of volatile gasses and/or monitoring for leaks at specific locations and/or generally any detection of water where it is not supposed to be.
With this real time detection being available both onsite and via the cloud and notification by our UL listed central station, an immediate response can be achieved to eliminate these serious potential issues and to stop these occurrences. Beyond monitoring, direct control is also available, water or other pipe cutoff valves, HVAC shutdown, damper and ventilation control, power shut off, are all readily available. As noted elsewhere, we highly recommend that the basics of water detection, temperature sensing, humidity and volatile air quality should be a standard inclusion with your security management and automation platform to detect all issues of life safety, security breach, and/or detrimental interruption to work space productivity and usage.
