GIS Mapping & Integration

The ASAT team and its’ partners provide our clientele with the expertise to integrate with an existing GIS (Geographic Information System) or provide new GIS database services to be integrated with existing or new security, automation, life safety and disaster prevention system technologies.  GIS technology from ESRI is a rather remarkable and preferred platform for the real-time mapping of all building special and content needs.  From existing blueprints on various drawing platforms including AutoCAD, the complete building plans can be incorporated into the GIS platform to allow for all content and square footage utilization to be entered into the inherent GIS database to have a precise location of virtually everything, along with the associated detail wished to be captured.

We have utilized the ESRI GIS platform as a middle-ware to plot all of our client’s related security, automation and life safety systems devices and initiating equipment to have a graphic view of not only where everything is, but exactly the status of all systems at a glance.  For instance, when an emergency communication station initiates a call or a door alarm or other detection device is activated, that event as reported by the associated intrusion detection system, access control system, temperature monitoring platform, emergency communication system, conveys that information to the GIS map associated with that building location to an automated display for instantaneous image of the actual event and all systems in close proximity.

In our recommended security, automation, life safety and disaster prevention management platform, knowing the precise location of every asset and every event is a critical baseline.  By utilizing the GIS map, you may select an area, for instance, the front door lobby area — to have that immediately pull up on the video wall, all associated cameras related to the lobby proper as well as the exterior that maybe viewing that entry portal.  On a small scale, within the building or across all of the buildings on a campus, or all of the facilities across the nation or the planet, the GIS graphic interface allows for immediate ability to query content and activity for amazing results.

In use with our client security, automation, life safety and disaster prevention dashboard, data in real time is immediately available.  If looking at a map of the United States and your 850 properties shown, the time of facility opening, current activity, power draw, alarm status, temperature, bandwidth use, and on and on, is available for view per location with the aid of the GIS technology.  Chances are, your organization is already utilizing GIS in some level of facility mapping or asset management.  Our offered solutions will be a very valuable bolt-on benefit to use with the investment likely already in place.
